Very interesting, I never knew the Austrian SF used the Sterling L34A1.
The desert camo is used for UN observer missions in desertic environment at the moment or are there any other areas where Austrian units need that sort of uniform ?

as you said, just for UN observer duties, like the golan hights (sp?), and afghanistan.

Why the sight on the silencer?Because, as can be seen, the silencer actually blocks the line-of-sight from the sights on the weapon.

@ rnagerrick: Yes, the MG74 is still the only LMG in use with austrian army.
@ benny5405: uhm yes, thats why I posted the image with the old and new austrian desert camo ;)

A shiny new AUG-P of the police:
This AUG Carabine is not from normal Police its from the Justitzwache (Prison Service) and can only fire semi automatic!
