I say we do something like in Swordfish, where you strap C4 all over the person, only we put the ball bearings on the outside of the charges that press up against his body.

I'm not sure if you guys have ever seen a clamore detonated. But I can atest to the fact that just one will do the trick. Those things will seriously ruin your day if you are on the wrong side. Or if ya eat it, going against the ingenious safety warning....

I'm starting to like the Claymore idea, but adam would want to argue about how the real specops guys would set it up (command detonation, trip wire etc.) and what kind of pouch to carry it in, and he would want to post a dozen links to establish his reasons for arguing and BOB wouldn't be able to read 'FRONT TOWARD ENEMY'....soooo... Let's just make them wear MARPAT (since they love it sooooo much) and lock the door.

I fully realize and accept that one claymore will do the trick, however, Adam will be wearing over ten thousand dollars worth of top-notch protective gear and state-of-the-art camo, so to be sure we don't miss, we shall use a larger load of claymores.
Furthermore, if we were to attach them to him, they shall be facing inward. You know, to get through the body armor and such. rofl

and for the last f*cking time- the new digital camo is far superior to the old uniforms for a variety of technical reasons. Maybe your Nike wearing, immature brain is only concerned with how something looks....but to the men who are being shot at, I don't think they give a damn how it looks as long as it works.
and the only reason the Marines are the only ones wearing it is because they have copyrighten the design, patented it, so it would be technically ILLEGAL for the Army or whatnot to use it without permission. :backhand:
Also, most of us are over 18. Most of us are either vets, are in the service or have dreams of being in the service. I know I want to be a Marine someday, but if the Marines are attracting people like you....must not be the same Corps of legend anymore. :roll:

WRONG. Canadians have their own camo, CADPAT, and do not use MARPAT. And the new stuff is actually very effective. The only downside is there were a few manufacturing defects, and in some cases the colors faded fairly dramatically. Other than that, much like the US Marines, they like it. If you live on a base, you should really talk to the SOLDIERS that live there, not the kids who think digital camo is funny looking.

You bring up a good point. MARPAT and CADPAT may in fact make ones hips and/or buttocks appear larger than they are. Unless you are standing in front of the passenger mirror of a car. Then the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" effect may just balance it out and make the aforementioned large hips/buttocks look normal sized.

My recruiter said he was talking to some guys who were deployed not long ago, they said that with the new cammies we are practicly invisible.
