I have no way of substantiating this, although I assume that Hackworth does not post stuff like this without some sort of attempt at verification.

Interesting. I read about the increases in attacks somewhere else, but there was no mention of cheney's comments. Perhaps the Honorable :roll: VP is being a good politician...

"The actual number of incidents this month is significantly below what it was last month, on a daily basis,"

Between August 1 and August 12, 17 Americans were killed.
Between September 1 and Semptember 11, 8 Americans were killed. *

Perhaps cheney's definition of "incident" requires the death of yet another young American. Nice play on the facts...

* casualty information from:

This from the same people who said that al-qaeda were running rampant with WMD in Iraq while Saddam shredded the blueprints for 9/11.
Is there any truth in this? :|

About Al Qaeda and Saddam? That can be summed up in one word.
Yup.

Saadam and Al-Quaeda? Maybe. Saadam and 9/11? No. That's what Shrub says...

I say no to both. If that is not the case, I would like to see the evidence, something beyond what the White House press secretary tells the world...
