I didn't wan't to hijack the other thread, so I will make a new thread-

What exactly is the difference between the Polartec SPEAR fleece jacket and the Polartec USMC fleece jacket?

USMC version is a little bit longer, you can compare the length of the skrit.and there is no difference except the price...

I have THREE jackets, labeled as SPEAR FLEECE JACKET ,one is from brigade quartermaster, and is a complete crap..a pale copy of the real item made in taiwan.

The others two are from uscav.com (great service), and are a USMC spear jacket and a SPEAR fleece jacket.

The difference between the two are that the USMC one is longer and less tapered at the bottow..it seems me that the material is heavier also, definitely the nylon on shoulder is stronger.

I will check them this evening and will do a review of the two, if interested.

Hell yes, I would love a head to head review of the two jackets.

Does the USMC version, seeing as it is less tapered, have a drawcord type deal around th bottom so I can tighten it if I want?

Oh noes, it looks like the USMC fleece doesn't have the double zipper for unzipping upwards.

Edit- Or pit zips.

I'm not too sure bout the double zips. The USMC has pit zips though.

i think you've got it turned around. spears doesnt have the two-way zipper, but does have pit zips.

ive got no idea about the two-way zippers but both USMC and SPEAR have pit zips woot

nopes -- i've got one and it doesnt have it.
