View Full Version : Old Guard Refuses to Leave Post During Storm

I'm sure most of you have heard of the Old Guard, aka the 3rd Infantry Regiment who guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Well for the first time in the history of the monument, they were given permission to leave their post and seek shelter, but they refused to leave their post until properly releaved (general orders for those who know what I'm talking about). But check out the article, it really says about the sence of duty and commitment these soldiers have.

I dig that. Plus I'm right down the road from them and believe me that storm was kickin'. They're impressive.

definately steadfast honor and commitment. They definately deserve to be commended.
