Hi

I am looking for a source of gear in US 6 color desert camo other than clothing like assault vests, chest rigs, pouches, backpacks, butt packs, drop leg holsters or other drop leg sub loads. Any info would be appreciated.

No reputable gear manufacturers that I know of use a 6 color desert camo scheme anymore. However someone may be able to custom make it.

and the NSN for the Qu'ran :)
Suggest finding something that suits your needs and taking it to a tailor to copy in the cam required.

Not many nations still use the 6 color desert.

The new Iraqi army uses it and also Spain (I think), so a spanish surplus site/store would be my first guess.

Or you could talk to eggroll about making custom gear for you if he has the time.

OK .Maybe Spanish members could help.
Spanish Army is using vests in 6 collor desert pattern.
Any info on where to get them would be great.
Even better the source to cordura fabric and webbing in this pattern because we would prefer to have the gear made for us here in the same style as our gear.

Found lots of gear. I don't speak Spanish so I was wondering would it be of any use if I'd e-mail them in English?

Also, most of the 6 color desert camo gear I liked are marked "Fabricación Nacional ". Is that the name of the company that makes them? Do they have a web site?

Are there any other Spanish surplus web sites that carry 6 color desert camo gear (mainly assault vests)?

The best would be for me to find the source for the material this gear is made of mainly the cordura and the webbing stripes made in this pattern.

Yeah I've seen these and also the copies of the South African vest in 6 color desert. They are both poor quality airsoft gear.

I'm just curious why you would want to use that horrible scheme...

We tested 3 color vs. 6 color in the areas in which it will be used.6 color worked out much better. Iraq uses this pattern which was found by the US ineffective in Iraq.
In their case perhaps they use now what ever they get. Maybe the decision on using 6 color pattern by Iraqis was for identifying them as Iraqis among US troops .I don't know.
BUT, Spain adopted this pattern for Iraq AFTER the US decided it wasn't effective in Iraq!!! Spain does have a long experience with desert warfare. They also have five or six older desert patterns of their own to choose from. So why chose a pattern proven ineffective by a major army (US) in a major conflict (Desert Storm) in the SAME AO???

I guess we all run are own tests, have our own conclusion and make our own decisions accordingly.

Anyway,It's not my call.I just try to make it happen...
If it was up to me it would be Desert MARPAT pattern for this project.

...basically the 1601 is the secondvest i've ever use...... ;)
i suggested it to many new player's on my team...!!!!!!
it 'sready for carry a camel back, it's confortable, good material's .......and it 's quite expensive........ ;)

the main difference are the two big pouches on the top on the 1600....instead of three little one on 1601.... ;)
the right choise could be the 1601....for me ;)
