Look, the united states DOES not need to be a gloal police force, they are stretched as it is. Besides, what would you propose, just invade because they have nukes "just like" iraq, except n.korea does. There is only so much that can be done, and when negotioans fail, well, we cant just bomb the **** out of them.... However, if N.korea acts agressively againt a nato country, one can act, and threating Australia with WMD as they did needs to be looked at seriously. However, invasion is not warranted! All we can do is wait and hope for the best. We are not better than anyone else if we commit to war on someone who looks at us the wrong way. North Americans are chicken ****s, and are becoming far too rash in their actions. Sharks, bees, black people, communists, aliens, snakes, terrorsits, anthrax, y2k and the list goes on.... We need to settle down, breathe, and take one step at a time, not work ourself into a frenzy.

Its not going to turn into a parking lot. Its like trying to teach every bully on the block the same lesson, it cant be done, period. During the cold war the russians had plenty of oppurtunities to wipe the USA off the map, yet negotians worked and the asscurance of MAD kicked in for both nations. I know n.korea is not russia, but come on, they arent stupid. Incase you didnt know, the USA had been getting quite the bad rep over the past few years, and invading N.korea just because they might use nukes sure wont help.

When you make easy implications of sending people to war, I don't think you understand what combat is about, you as human being with a certain moral code should try every available option to avoid sending good people to early graves.

Christ, North Korea always threatens to blow up every one, it's all chest beating antics.

It's a well known tool that they use to get attention (and some lovely economic aid).

How about when US were pointing their nukes at the "axis of evi", I think they aimed them at China too...cant remember that cause it was over 2 years ago. Did those countries declare war just because?

Strange, everytime there is some kind of conflict in Europe or Asia or Africa, other countries whine for US support...

But then when we move on our own to protect ourselves, we are the policeman of the world.

I much rather have a global police force than a global force of terrorists and tyrants that can detroy, rape, steal and murder to hearts content, in the most brutal fashion availible.
