The Presidential Results for Clark County, Ohio, 100% of precincts reporting:

Bush (Incumbent): 34,444 (51%)

Democratic, Kerry: 32,824 (49%)

Non-Partisan: Badnarik 183 (0%)

Non-Partisan: Peroutka 144 (0%)

Swing to Bush: 9%.

I guess that letter writing campaign was a real success. - Not.

I would like to retract my previous opposition to the Guardian's letter writing campaign.

I would in addition, also like to thank the Guardian, Great Britain, and my dear friend cut for helping to re-elect the President. p-)

ok let me rephrase it; the Guardian will support the democrat in 2008 by sending letters to swing states urging people to support the republican. If you make you they influenced the result that is...

Ahhh, the old reverse psychology trick. Gotcha.

Perhaps registered Republican's could write to voters in the UK telling them to vote for.... well that's a tricky one. Not Blair, as he's Labour (and thus, a commie), but the Conservatives.... Nope, ain't gonna work methinks.

Yeah, well the Conservatives have nothing new to offer the UK, only Labours policies, but with a 5% difference.

They've become as irrelevent as the Democrats are working hard to be.

Unfortunately, IMO, the UKIP stand to gain where the Torie lose.

Are they being taking seriously these days?

They always struck me as being more than just a little excentric. (Kind of like the people who'd show up at the conservatives conferances wearing Union Jack waistcoats and demmanding the return of public flogging).

rrrubbish UKIP aren't going anywhere in the next general election. Liberal democrats might though. One thing is certain Blair will loose votes (somewhere) because Bush has been re-elected.

Well, we'll see what happens with the UKIP :-)

I'm not sure Bush being re-elected will have that much of an impact on Blair, but the Lib-Dems were always going to gain votes from Labour after Iraq.

Of course, if the Lib-Dems gain too many Labour seats, the Tories might get back in. A scary prospect, with that old relic running their party, IMO.

It will be interesting to see how the Tories choose to exploit the Iraq angle though.
