There was some interesting comment on British media about why the Democrats lost and the opinion was the Clinton/Kerry verson of American public opinion is at odds with the reality of American public opinion and that their political ideology and manner is more suited to European politics then American. one commentator said the Democratic party has to look to the ideology of FDR era if it wants to get back into power.

The elite/leaders of the Democrat has lost touch/connection with the rank and file members of the Democrat Party. They're moving far more toward the left than being the center, yes, like FDR was. Their downfall started in the 90's, losing the majority in the House for the first time in 40 years, losing the South and the Midwest. The Democrats, if they want to win any elections next time, need to remember the path that great Democrats such FDR or Henry "Scoop" Jackson took, these men were even revered by the Republicans.

Quite to the contrary. She will be difficult to beat. Dems love her and I am sure she will get a hugely disproportionate women vote.
