I ran across this image which makes a wonderful screen background. The photo is from Hawaii.

Personally, I like some of the aircraft pics from the USAF site, or some of the CombatCamera pics from the Canadian Forces site. But a nice pic, nonetheless!

im pretty sure this is makua valley.i was in 25th inf. div (light)and we live fired there often. there are goats up in those mountains and its elligal to kill them but our ols sargeant major sniped one one day and we had a hell of a barbaque.at one time the govt. stopped us from training there because of pissed off hawaiins but what i heard they just started to get to train there again. if you want more info look under 25th inf. div.(light) 1/27 inf. wolfhounds they are a high speed light inf unit that is known as tropic lightfighters.weve been left out of most the action in combat due to our responsibility to the pacific and southeast asia . they a conflict in that area so these guys can show thier ****.if korea kicks off units of the 25th are on 24hr. recall to go there and would be a speed bumb for n.korean armored forces until we could scramble our heavy divisions thier

great info... concerning korea though, unlike other hotspots right now, I don't think regular troops are going to be the weapon of choice for the north koreans. I think they're going to use the 1 or 2 nukes that they have immediately and no troop will want to go near there. Rumsfeld said the other day that he wanted to move the US troops out of the area, and preferably out of South Korea entirely. Personally I think it's a step in the right direction. Put a fire under these guys, so they realize that it's their problem, and not just for the US.
