SADF Recce in Namibia, 1985

Yep, that's what I'm trying to reenact. SADF recon in Namibia. I've got the Lizard Pattern fatigue, an AKM, boonie hat, and a Chinese-made AK magazine holder. A question I have is, would it be appropriate to use a P58 webbing?

Also, would it be appropriate to use the R4 rifle in reenacting SADF recon in the early-80s? And what kind of rifle scopes did(or currently do) the Recces use?

I've never seen scopes mounted on R-4 rifles until the past few years. But yes, the R4 would be appropriate to aq 1985 timeframe.

Just make sure you "black up" before any op. ;)
