On this page (klick link rather than save as to open page) (http://www.archive.org/movies/details-db.php?collection=prelinger&collectionid=18988) there's an interesting US govt. information/propaganda film on the Marshall islands campaign in the Pacific during 1944.
Compared to the bloody battle at Tarawa, the Marshall islands campaign has been reckoned as one of the more "textbook" of US operations in the Pacific theatre.
Yet it was not all bloodless. Thus, as a warning, some parts of this film is a bit graphic.
That said, it's neither like one of those modern "orgy in blood" combat vids that seems to be vouge to put up on some unmentioned URL's nowdays.
