Thats the HK Grenade Machine Gun mounted in the second pic, which I guess is a logical choice since its going to be used by both the Dutch and German armies :

this project is running since the early 90's, some much money is already put in to research... and the even the army is bound to contracts of the manufactor..

first fenneks will go to 42 BVE (Brigade Verkennings Eskadron) and will be fitted with a stabilized .50 machine gun.....

btw the way.. the old YPR 765 PRI is to old to be used in reccon, wich is in use from the early 70's
