Thats not neccessarily bad ;) ...and Germans, as well as Brits, are doing a pretty good job in nuclear waste management (when they dont dump them overseas p-) ). But seriously, nuclear power is not neccessarily bad and the same goes to waste management of course.

The Arctic ice is melting no faster nor slower than it did during the 1920's. It's just more noticed this time around. The volcanoes have had major effects on our climate. Remember Mt Pinatubo in the Phillippines? That was a very cold year. Remember that at the same time as it was pumping out SO2, it was also pumping out megatonnes of CO2. It's the mico ash that appears to have caused the cooling that year, not the SO2.
