http://www.dandfoutfitters.com/catalog/images/item94.jpg<---The USMC should form a ranger style small fighting force USMC AIRBORNE or Paramarines (I know that that would be alot like the MEUs but under the title AIRBORNE)
(I dont think it will happen but they could be trained like the Spetsnaz I think you know what I mean. :) What unit would be better then the marines to get that kinda training.)http://www.forcerecon.org/airborne.htm<---For information on how the marine corp. does an airborne insertion.

anyway I came across alot of photos. Operations Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom.

Enjoy. more towards the bottom are photos of operations in iraq if you have the time for them all to load I think you will like them.

The Marines never have been, never will be meant to be like the Rangers. The Marines are a heavy battering-ram shock infantry. There is no need within the Corps for an airborne unit like the Rangers, quite simply because we already have one within the Army: they're called Rangers.

On a few of the first pictures at the top, the Afghanis appear to be wearing helmets alot like the Soviet tanker ones, could that be captured from back during the late eighties?

To answer the poll, if I would join again:

I have been on ugly long guard duties,
almost frozen to death,
almost burned to death,
almost drown,
got shot at,
threwn grenades at,
thrown rocks at,
almost gotten blown up,
felled of trucks,
runned over by vehicles,
felled out of buildings,
had heat stroke,
had crappy food,
had no food,
got unfair critisism by officers,
been punhised because i have broken regulations,
been humping on patrols to nowhere finding nothing,
been bored to a almost near death stage during courses,

bla bla bla, the list can go on forever.

But would I join again?

Hell, yes. Almost loved every minute of it. The good things outweight the bad things.

Nice pics.

In the photo of the SF guys in their Class A's, is the guy on the right Captain Amerine of 5th Special Forces Group? Can anyone confirm that, it really looks like him. He won the silver star, I believe, for actions in Afghanistan.
