The PASGT helmet is nicknamed "K-pot" - what's the source of this name?
Does it have anything to do with "Kraut"?
i know it used to be called "fritz", for the similarity to the wermacht helmet used on WWII.

I always thought they were nicknamed "K-pots" because of the kevlar.

The old World War II helmets were known as "Steel Pots". The "K" in K-Pot stands for Kevlar. So instead of steel pots you have kevlar pots.
