Hello,

Just wondering if it would be of interest to anyone to compile a list of Internet resources dealing with military science, theory, issues, and so on.

Here is the website for the U.S. Army War College, which has some papers.
http://carlisle-www.army.mil/

Some other sites:
http://ethics.acusd.edu/Applied/Military/index.asp
http://www-cgsc.army.mil/csi/

There's also some unofficial pages that I know of, like:
http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Quarters/2116/
http://www.geocities.com/itsg.geo/

Sites associated with Col. David Hackworth:
http://www.sftt.org
http://www.hackworth.com

Does anyone else know of any other good websites?

if you want to learn military theory read a very short book--The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Its a very short book and easy to read. Another interesting book is The Book of the Five Rings by Mushashi. Very short very to the point.

Some intro maxims to military science:

The principle of war is the same as mathematics. As one plus one equals two, a lesser force always succumbs to a greater.
One of Napoleon's greatests sayings another is...
"If possible bring down thunder and lightning upon your enemies"

Von Clauwitz wrote of the war and its place in society. His famous statement is that war is simply an extension of politics.
