What do you guys think this operation will be called?
i wish i knew. :) gulf war 2 by itself sounds kind of cheezy. Although the following might be better...

I bet I'm really far off, but I heard something today which would be called, "Operation Liberty Seal". Not sure if it was Gulf War 2, or what. :|

B.T.W. Eagle 1-1 I think you're referring to 'Liberty Shield' which is basically the mobilization of federal, state and local law enforcement to be on the alert for terroism. At least that's my understanding.

They said that the original idea was Operation Desert Freedom I think, personally I think thats better than Iraqi Freedom. I hope they change it to something a little more intimidating or at least cool.

Operational names have been downhill for a long time.Even Desert Storm/Shield was pretty lame.I concur with the Rape Iraq or hows about Operation We Gonna Shave That Mustache For You Pig ****er,Operation You Ass Is Dead Already,or Operation Gonna Git You Sucka.

Well, the operation name of the British part of Gulf War 2 is still Op Telic. They didn't change it from the build up name. The Australians are using a new name for the fighting part, which is named Op Falconer. There's still no Op being mentioned for the US part though. So far it's still referred to as Enduring Freedom.

Secretary Rumsfeld called it Operation Iraq Freedom this morning. Kind of a let down. Maybe they should have had a naming contest? :roll:
