Hello,

I am about to get my order from www.boomarms.com of:

1x Guarder FSBE (OD)
1x Guarder 1195G (Some MOLLE rig that looks like the BHI ISAAK Rifleman)
1x G&P ACOG Tao1NSN replica

Anyhow if you guys havent seen G&P ACOG's they have this nasty blue tint to them. I am thinking about painting the piece matt black.

BUT

How to you paint metal and make it hold, hold well enough to stand up against regular abuse without the paint easily scratching.

I use Krylon. It hasn't melted off any of my weapons yet, not even from high heat or from being covered in snow.

What part of the gun have you painted? And you've been painting metal right?

Twombley,

Example:

TM M16A4, whole damn thing painted, minus internals. ;)

TM XM177E2. All plastic. Brown paint came out red.

Remington 870 shotgun (not airsoft). Yes, it is made of metal, obviously. Has been in snow, water, ice, sand (buried), and the paint has just now began to come off a bit. I got it about a year ago, and painted it a few times since then. It is very durable.

Hope that helps.

KRYLON WORKS. The end.

Yeah, I used one of those G&P ACOG's at a local shop. They seem to be true, hardcore, elite pieces of ****! (I could get a real 4x32 for $550 anyway :P woot so haha.) The reticle was mega-crooked, but if you REALLY want the look without the $1100 MSRP, then go for it. Otherwise, iron sights or a normal 4x32 by Simmons even, will do you better.
