Well, I went down to MEPS yesturday and it turns out that I am color blind. I have never noticed it before in my life and I've passed the color blindness test for my driver's liscense. I am pretty sure I must have a really mild form of it, but none the less...it seems that I am f*cked for enlistment in the Army. They will only give me pogue jobs.

But, I've heard rumors that the Marines do not care if you're color blind and want to serve in the Infantry, do any of you know if this is true or if there are any other type of "high speed" MOS's that might be open to me? I've tried to contact recruiters today, but none of them around.

Thanks....

I thought that you had to have serious color blindness to be barred from combat MOSs. I would go have them test you again, or go get an independent test and then demand to test you again.

theres 3 levels of color vision and to not even be on a chart you have to have pretty bad color vision....... i know for Canadian army a lot of the jobs you can have the 3rd (worst) level of color vision

theres a chart that shows all that if i find it ill put it up

It was the Ishihara or the one that has the number in the middle that is made up of all kinds of bubbles that are different colors.
