Okay, well I got myself a Woodland BDU. Unfortunetly I bougth a used one from a surplus store, the guy said that an airsofter had previously used it. Well it was obvious that the guy had no sense of how to properly wear a uniform. As he had a "Big Red One" patch, USAF chevrons and a US MARINE CORP tape on it. Focking Retard Anyway, the guy seemed to have done the job himself, and instead of using a sewing kit he glue-gunned the patches onto the fabric... :cantbeli:
Now, I've washed taken off all the patches, washed the uniform, used some special cleaning stuff for stains and I was able to get rid of some of the smaller remnants of glue-gun glue with a needle (that took over an hour to do). Anyway, now I'm trying to get rid of the markings of chevrons and the big red one patch. Anyone have any solutions or helps in cleaning this.
I knew, I should have bought one of the olive-drab Vietnam-era combat jackets... then again what kind of a moron puts on all these different patches when he doesnt know what they mean :cantbeli:

You mean where the patches were, the uniform looks "newer" right?
If so, there really is no way to get rid of that.

Quick question, I'm going to recover the uniform to its top shape and make it into an air force one, considering its nearly impossible to find chevrons (big enough) for a marine corp woodland. anyway, i've got a patch of air force communications command, where would the patch go? Under the right or left breast pocket?

Marine Corp woodland?

I think it goes under the right side. I could be wrong though

I honestly couldn't tell you. I'm not even sure I'm right with the location. I've seen Air Force personnel with patches on both pockets.
Maybe someone who was Air Force will check here and clarify.

yes, I've seen pictures of AF guys wearing two patches on their breastpockets. Which has me quite confused. I mean, if i'm going to do something, might as well as it being proper and right.
unfortunetly all the websites I have found that have an USAF Uniform Manual, seem not to work on my computer. :(

Looks like my 1st post gets to apply some of this AF knowledge... your Maj Command patch goes on the top right(from wearer) pocket. this is like your ACC, AMC, and numbered AF patches. the top left pocket is occupied by individual unit and squadron patches.

Unfotunately it doesn't. I checked it long before you posted it. It doesn't specify were these patches go.
Anyway, Roaming East already clarified it.
