Hi guys!

Just to dissapoint you all now, there isn't much of a point to this topic, I'm just bored.

I've got 3 Surefire lights, and I love 'em all!
-G2 OD Nitrolon
-C3 Centurion Anodized
-E1E Executive w/KL1 LED p-)

I know they are expensive, but I work for one of their distributors, and Surefire is literally down the road from us, so I get their lights for mega-cheap.

We just got their U2 Ultra LED lights. Has 6 brightness settings, retails for around $200 something. It is worth it in my opinion.

If anyone has any questions, I may very possibly be your man.

I've been thinking about getting an E2D Defender for a couple of months now, and I just want to hear what you think about.

Seeing as this is about Surefire products I'd like to give my +1 for the M73 carbine/M4 handguards.
I'm completely impressed with these and look forward to the release of the full size handguards for my Bushy Dissy.
Now on flashlights, I own two of the Streamlight Scorpions which I procured off of Ebay at a very reasonable price ;)

The real question Ryan, is can you get me one at discount too?

The E2D is a excellent kubaton type impact weapon as well as a decent little lite... they're running about 85.00 on Egay, there was about 20 or so available.

I need a 11 step Surefire program:

L2 LumaMax (everyday carry) just bought to replace A2 as carry
A2 Aviator (what to do, what to do)
2x G2 Nitrolon (1 in truck, one in BOB)
6P Original (on AR with tape switch)
Z2 Combatlight with P61 lamp (in gunvault with the G23)
Old School Benelli Foreend (on the M1 Super 90)

and I still want to get a M692 or scout (waiting for the 5 watt LED), a X200 LED and the new U2 Ultamax
I got flashlight issues.
and then there is the Maglite collection.......................................

You sick sad bastards. NO DISCOUNTS!

As Eggroll said, the E2D is an excellent blunt-impact type weapon, such as a Kubatan or mini-baton (same thing to me). It is our company's official Surefire light, who knows why. As with all Surefire products, they are durable as hell. I'm sure you could sharpen the pushy-punchy-pointy thingies (save for lack of better term!) to a sharp point... ;) :fork: :-*$

People come in and get all dissapointed because you can't smack someone over the head with a Surefire, since it lacks heft. Well, that's where MagLights come in. But everything has a specific purpose. The LED Surefires are great for surveying larger areas over longer periods of time, since runtime goes WAY up. They are just as bright, but they don't have as much light output, in other words it ain't gonna put as much light onto a distant target. It will run for much much longer though. My E1E with the KL1 LED head is supposed to run constantly for 10 hours before it starts to die off, and that's just on the single, brand new SF-123A 3 volt lithium battery. The life of the LED "bulb" itself is supposed to be something like 10,000 hours or something rediculous like that.

From another standpoint, alot of purists talk about how adding a light to your pistol is rediculous, and you sould just use a normal Surefire in your other hand. I dunno about you guys, but that's dumb to me. Let's say you hear a noise downstairs. You grab your Glock 21 or whatever, and go investigate. You've got the X200 or some Streamlight on the rail. This allows you to have one free hand, while still putting light constantly out in the direction of your muzzle.

The downside is this: a bad guy is going to naturally shoot AT THE LIGHT. If you are holding your pistol in one hand, and your light in another, you can technically put your light off to one side, or up high or some junk, and confuse the motherfu@#$er. Thing is, in these things we call houses, there are narrow places called hallways. Doesn't give you much room to work with, sticking your arm up all high and ****.

In my humble opinion, a weapon-mounted light is more advantageous than a seperate deal. I gotta walk down some stairs to get to the other half of my house, and I may need to steady myself with my other hand, like holding onto the railing, or maybe even helping someone out (or kicking someone's ass!). Cops can pull off Weaver stances and junk when they are outside, but us normal citizens cannot use half our 2nd Amendment rights and have guns OUTSIDE, so you get the idea.

The choice is yours. Everything in life, particularly with weapons, is a trade off.
