Correction to be made: the photo named GANFES.jpg (http://groups.msn.com/g91vqt48q7cb0ibu6bvauc0np4/fuerzasespecialesdelejrcito.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=51) shows BRAZILIAN Army Special Forces troops, called Comandos. They are NOT Mexican Special Forces.

I really do not know, that is not like an official website, its so dificult to take pictures of those guys, they are secret etc, but they look pretty mex to me, although the guy in the front has a G3 and that is what they used, right now they use M16, M4, Barret .50, and in some cases the G3 for training.
Ok, what the hell is MRE, if its food, hell, we have to cook our own chow, rice and beans.

I am spanish, from a country called Spain at the righ side of Atlantic ocean, and I canīt see whatīs the relation between spanish, rice, americans, and MRE, and by the way, what does mean MRE? Talking about food, Mexico has an interesting cuisine, but is far different from spanish. Other thing, mexicans are americans, people from texas or alaska or paraguay are americans too, but spanish arenīt americans, spanish are spanish, in europe. Other question more, what do you think is the level of special forces of Australia, Poland of G.Britain since you compare it with mexicans? Low or High? I didnīt know they are the paradigma of special forces. And I know nothing about special forces of G.B, Poland or Australia.

Well I'm guessing its VERY HIGH and Mexicans are not as high. Why do I think this? Becuase those countries was in afghanistan maybe?

Most of the instructors in the Mexican Special forces have been trained in Fort Bragg or in Guatemala as kaibiles, we have israeli instructors, german, french, for the police and what not, but mostly are trained to fight drug trafiking.
But most of all, we have been trained in american standards, use american equipment.
I think we are pretty decent, we are just few, actually, sory for using "we", I am not SF.
ANd sorry guys but spanish rice or "paella" RULES, you have to have it cooked by a spanish cook and served fresh, not in a MRE.

Does the Mexican special forces also go to Israel for training?!?

One of the pics is they have posted is actually of the Brazilian Army's 1st Special Forces Battalion. It's the ones were the guys are in a boat with FN FAL rifles heading through a swamp.

GAFE im absolutly sure the guys in the photo are Brazilians... and the guy that u mentined is not holding a G3, but a FN FAL the standard assault rifle of the Brazilian Armed forces.
PS: The photos are great, and thank u to post them... it was not my intention the create controversy.
No man, thanks to you guys, truth is what i am interested in, and those guys copied that photo, they should take it away, I am pretty sure they either commited a mistake o i dont know, its not an official website anyway.
Israeli instructors train Mexico City SWAT cops, presidential guards, and some train military officers, we bring them over, we do not go to israel (expensive to send 100 or so people over there), they train our instructors and the instructors train us, they do it closed quarters, its the best training, for counter terrosism, and for counter kidnapping, i am not sure if they are from the IDF, but they are israeli, most probable its a private own israeli security corporation.
We use FN FAL too in our infantry, the marines use M16 and FN FAls are for guarding the base, but they are black colored, tha army is green colored, and similar uniform, maybe thats why the confusion.
You are not gonna believe this, but the NArcos have the best military equipment in mexico, night vision goggles, grenade launchers, AK-74, sqad machine guns, bullet proof vests, helicopters, airplanes, GPS, rocket launchers, fast boats, man, we have some tough time catching the mofos.
We did not go to afganistan or iraq becasue of our pussy president, and because he used up all the money on his cabinet, and because we are supposedly a "peacefull" country, we are, but the pres did not want to show how he kisses Bush ass. Too many hippies in mexico, and some in power.

Hey i have eaten those, they are pretty good, havenīt eaten them lately though, and mexican style ones, with tamales, green or red salsa, and amaranto. But nothing better that the marine kitchen, Breakfast, scramble eggs (with shellls) beans, rice, tortilla, salsa, a piece of bread, sock flavor cofee, or watered down milk, or watered down artificial flavor orange juice, eat in 5 Minutes, and donīt get it on your gear, and MOVE.

1)I'm not a recruiter. But I can answer some of your questions :D
2)If you immigrate to the US legally then yes, you can join US armed forces. Only legal immigrants allow to have green cards and US military only accept green cards. There are some jobs in US military require you to be US citizen because only US citizens have security clearance.
3)Your military background in your original country means nothing. You will have to start all over again.
Time to start looking for an american girlfriend.

Well of course, you do it out of the base, its kinda of a macho thing, there are some officer that you just hate their guts and wanna get a shot at them. Actually i process guys who hit their fellow mates and officers, we throw em in jail, discount pay, and they get prosecuted, we take away their military priviledge or protection we turn them civilians that is, military court remits them to the civilian criminal court and prosecuted for whatever theyu commited. Some officers just arrest them for 72 hours,a nd thats all.
