101st Airborne Division's view over New York on the way to Afghanistan. You think this was done on purpose to fire up the boys? Not that they needed anymore.

wow, it looks like sim city in a few years, scary pic, although the perspective while enjoyable in a superman flying over sense and brings a incredible perspective, the angle really downplays the destruction, almost like a mere construction site you know? its kinda freaky.....

Yes, it was done on prurpose...there's an article somewhere that said the pilot flying that airliner was an ex-AF pilot. He radioed into NYC and got special permission to fly over the site.

Ill tell you what guys, that is nothing compared to what it was like here when that happened. ****ing scariest feeling ever. It seemed unreal cus the city was so calm.

a little research on that photo reveals that it was taken by NOAA.
