that's airplane will save the DoD much money over the long run once they get all the same parts. hopefully it will prove itself in combat eventually.

I'm pretty sure. The Royal Navy and the US Marines are receiving the F-35B, which has vertical/short takeoff or landing (VSTOL) capabilities. I believe it's replacing the AV-8B Harrier in the USMC, is it replacing the Harrier FA2 and Harrier GR.1 in the Royal Navy?
