What do you want pictures of a bunch of terrorists for? You might as well ask for an autographed picture of Bin Laden or a Hamas terrorist.

Since Ireland was granted its independence (or freedom, or autonomy, or whatever, I'm not too well versed in the history concerning Ireland becoming its own nation), the term IRA and PIRA have been used as synonyms. P/IRA as a whole was the group that decided to be party to the peace process (although disarmament continues to be a stumbling block between all Catholics and Protestants), and while some contend the IRA refuses to uphold its end of the deal, the real problem are the splinter groups that appeared in the wake of "Peace in Northern Ireland"...RIRA (Or the Real IRA) is a good example, but has been denounced by the P/IRA.

Oh no not this ****ing Northern Ireland thing again. I'm doing quite abit of research on what has been happening in Northern Ireland, but even I don't completely understand wtf was going on. Best ask Royal.
And why do u want a pic of a bunch of terrorists? PIRA, IRA, RIRA, Loyalists they'll all the same to me; terrorist scum****s.
And I also hate those ****ing US companies that funded the IRA and Sin Fein.

Its all a bunch of ****ing ****e. This problem is older than any other religious problem existing today. Every once in a while it gets calm over there. then theres a big eruption of some kind. The IRA is nothing but terrorists and Sinn Fein doesnt help one bit.

Well Travis,
Take it from one whose Been there ,it's not the done thing to ask for pics of a terrorist outfit!
Your mate will see for himself,he don't need pics.I was in NI during the Bobby Sands era,and I can tell you it was very scary indeed, but todays threat is not as high profile because of the ceasefire, and the Army get it a bit easier than 20 years ago.
Standing behind a ****ty bit of perspex ,18 years old, when there are hundreds of guys wanting to see you on fire,is no laughing matter, not knowing what's going to happen next.
If you want to know more about the IRA I'd suggest going to your loval library, there's no love lost for terrorists here!!

If you want to know more about PIRA/Sin Fein try the An Pohblacht (spelling) website (for their side on things) or read one of the many histories of the 'troubles'. Your mate in the British Army will have all the pics he wants of the 'players' in his AO.
Personally, like Argyll and others, I've lost good mates to what I consider to be terrorist scum. I know there are two sides to every argument, but I struggle to see the point of killing women and children, dealing in drugs, running protection rackets, maiming or murdering those who disagree with you or ensuring the continuing poverty of entire communities. But hey I'm a fookin Brit bastard...

Just the other day I was wondering about what happened to the IRA. I guess with the recent wars they have been put into the background when it comes to news. If anyone has info on them and recent events it would be nice to know. And NO I dont exactly agree with the IRA ideals, but in some cases i do see where some of them are coming from.

Bet you deny the continued existance of Protestant militias too...and the number of Protestants that were, and still are in the Maze...there are 2 sides to every story, and the other side isn't very pretty either.

the IRA was good at one point, almost like the american revolutionary forces, but when michal collins felt that the ira could go to the barganing table and cut a deal the man got shot in the head it all went down hill from there, i am proud of the ira when "The Big Man" lead it but now it has become a monster. on a side note i am related to Mr. Collins who was from Cork county so dont piss on my familys good name
There is no doubt about it that they are scum just like Al Qaeda, but try to be civilized about it because all he asked for is pictures, not an application to join them. Of course I am not British so I do not understand what it is like to have friends killed by them, but I assume its along the lines of my feelings toward Al Qaeda/Taliban etc. To anybody who has lost anyone because of this group they have my condolences

No I don't dispute the existence of the UVF, UFF or any of the other Protesant paramilitaries. I've been involved in Ops against them too. Every comment I made about PIRA (with the exception of loosing mates too them) can be made against them.
BTW Long Kesh holds almost no paramilitaries, since most on both sides were released after the 'Good Friday Agreement' (thanks Clinton :cantbeli: ). Most of those now held are elsewhere, including many now on the mainland.

I thought I remember someone saying MacDonalds did. Never eating there again, especially when they tried to con me. I ordered a drink there a while I gave the guy a £5 note he only gave me back 10 or 20p, when I asked where the rest of my change was he said "You only gave me a £1 coin", in the end I managed to get the rest of my change, after 2 mins of arguing.
The only pics I like of terrorists is pics of them dead.
