pitty the only people who are going to use them much, are the aircrew, guy's in suit's and a bunch of nutter's who like to jump out of perfectly good aircraft and wear a very fashionable commando green beret p-)

Got any specs on it? The USCG fields IIRC 3 rotary winged birds (60,68, and whatever the Dauphin is, 65 maybe?), and still lacks a long range helicopter with any payload comparable to the HH60s.

Eh bollocks the army co-op role is on the up, which means that the share of time given to letting us regular joes use it will go up compared to the AIII.

Theres also the probability of additional purhcases.

Also the fact that there are two IAC pilots flying Mi-8s in Liberia might suggest something to you.

Yes-I saw the fuselage of this chopper in PZL Swidnik factory about 3 years ago.
They designed the middle part of the fuselage and are going to manufacture it (cooperation with Bell/Agusta).
Pretty nice helo.
