The trashing of American heroes is one of the basic procedures of the hate-America crowd in the U.S. media. This media strategy of belittling heroic figures in American history is a noticeable part of the agenda to dismantle and undermine the heritage on which the U.S. is built. The media campaign to tear down Thomas Jefferson, by smearing him as one who had ****** relations with a mulatto slave, comes to mind as an example.

The latest example is a Sunday New York Times article trashing Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale. Hale, a Connecticut schoolteacher and graduate of Yale University, was a captain in the Continental Army when he volunteered to go behind British lines in Long Island in 1776 as a spy to gather information on British troop strength and plans. The story of his fearless patriotism and bravery in the face of death by hanging once he was discovered is one of the inspiring stories in American history.

Before he was hanged by his British executioner, he was asked if he had any final words and he said, "I only regret I have but one life to lose for my country." The CIA website notes that his story "has served as an inspiration for other patriots who have entered the profession of intelligence gathering and as an example of the highest degree of commitment, honor, and the willingness to sacrifice for what you believe in." But in its stridently negative hit-piece on Hale, the Times refers to Hale’s "blunders," his "monumentally naïve mistakes," his "inexperienced espionage," and his "failure as a spy." The Times article quotes a Library of Congress "historian" who calls Hale "stupid."

This blatantly negative New York Times hit piece even tries to cast doubt on Hale’s heroism, saying that Hale was only "reputed to have uttered his famous line, ‘I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.’" The Times works to denigrate Hale’s dying statement further by calling it "probably a paraphrase of a line from a popular play by the British writer Joseph Addison." On the other hand, the Times article calls the man responsible for deceiving Hale and causing his capture and death a "British hero."

The antagonistic Times article on Hale was based on a recently unearthed m****cript at the Library of Congress which was written at the time of the American Revolution by Consider Tiffany, described by the Times as "a Connecticut storekeeper and British sympathizer." A descendant of Tiffany donated the m****cript to the Library of Congress in the year 2000.

In its article, the Times tries to outdo "British sympathizer" Tiffany in its lack of sympathy for Hale. This bashing of Hale is taken directly from the media's trash-America playbook. Despite the recent scandal which has shaken the newspaper to its very foundations, the disgraced Times shows no let-up in its far-left agenda. Remember that this is the same paper that glorified Fidel Castro and covered up Stalin’s crimes. But going after American patriot Nathan Hale is perfectly acceptable, even though the source was obviously biased against the American revolution.

The article doesnt suprise me in the least, its typical left wing trash.

As for Rush, its no coincidence that the whole drug thing came out very soon after the so called "racist" comment made by him regarding McNabb. The man is addicted to pain killers, so are millions of people. I love how the media refers to him now as a "drug addict" which technically he is but you always associate that name with marijuana or cocaine etc etc...

All I can say about Rush... :cantbeli:
Should've kept his mouth shut on Donovan McNabb.

That being said, McNabb is doing terrible this year! Thank goodness that I have Marc Bulger as a replacement for him in my fantasy league!

I read the article in the NY Times and it didn't denigrate Hale's bravery, but did question his intelligence (no pun intended). According to the article, Hale openly discussed his mission with a man he encountered who was loyal to the crown. He was invited to a dinner, where he continued to elaborate on why he was behind enemy lines in civilian clothing. He was arrested and, later, hanged for being a spy. Spy Lesson Number One: Keep your mouth shut!

The Loyalist who trapped him was Robert Rogers, the same Rogers who was the leader of Rogers' Rangers in the French & Indian War, which we all know today's Rangers trace their vaunted history to. Rogers initially offered his services to Washington, who questioned his loyalty. Rightfully so, since Rogers then offered his services to the British and formed two units, the Queen's Rangers and the King's Rangers.

So far as Rush Limbaugh is concerned; the National Enquirer had already gone to press and the NY Daily News had already did their background check before he made his comments on McNabb. The prescription drugs he is addicted to are as strong and as difficult to kick as heroin.

All history and news can be revised as time goes by and new documents are discovered. Whether it is true or not can be proven by further research; however, it's easier to condemn with allusions of a liberal or conservative bias than to go to a library or do a rudimentary web search.

Who's the best McQuarterback in the NFL?

Haha, our very own...Air McNair.

California Joe

McNair is old school tough like Johnny Unitas, Y A Tittle, even Terry Bradshaw etc...

OMG McNair is BLACK? No way.....Heh.

Oh yeah, and Rush is a major douchebag. For being a hypocritical holier than 95% of the population type asshole who couldn't even control what he put in his own mouth, food or pills. He had the temerity to pass judgement on entire strata's of society while he was having his maid score him pills but not tell his bitch wife cause she'd holler? Please.

By the way, he was right about McNab being overrated.

So many black Irishmen in the NFL.

Unfortunatly I have to agree with Rush that Mcnabb is obviously overated, check out what he has done since Rush said that. He had a chance to prove him wrong.
Air Mcnair is a successful african american quarterback why dont the media pick up on him. Quarterbacks like Mcnabb have come and gone
(ie Randall Cuningham) but quarterbacks like Mcnair (ie Warren Moon)
usually last awhile. Sorry, Rush was right on this account now stand up and
do the right thing and admit it.

I dont follow football much, so i dont know about that, but as for the pill popping, what a loser. Its conserviatives who always preach the real morals and values such as "winners dont do drugs" and "say no to drugs" and such, and here he is a pill popper, how pathetic. I wouldnt say guns are bad if i own a gun store. The conservitive party is looking really bad now. It doesnt matter liberals are stupid and full of ****, but the people like them and understand them, and unfourtunetly thats enough with todays media and idiot population. If it wasnt for Hannity being a calm charismatic guy, wed look really really bad and hostile, more so than usual, and Rush sure isnt helping us.

Rush doesn't represent the entire Republican party or conservatives.
