I voted NES, but I really wanted to vote for Super NES. Now that was a cool system.

I had all those systems at once. My dad use to spoil me with these games. I vote Nintendo.
Why you may ask ???
Because of
River City Ransom, Zelda, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden, Contra, WWF and a few more.

NES and Sega Genesis. I think I still have both of those plus a bunch of games packed away in some box in the garage.

EDIT: Just realized, question was favorite classic system, not game. Hands down, the old arcade games are the best. Many of them are available for download to your computer here (http://www.mame.net/), [very good, but just not the same]. I spent a lot of time and money to finally break stage 50:

Personally I'm partial to the Sinclair Spectrum +2

I'm also old enough to have owned an Atari 800XL

And vaguely remember my Dad having a Sinclair ZX81

my mom didn't like video games for me and my sister, so i would always go to my friends to play Ninja turtles on his NES. However, we did have one of these bitches:
