4 US aviators and 12 UK Commandos.Go figure though,a Marine CH-46.If it was brought down by enemy fire no wonder, the thing is a huge target.

Wrong. 4 US Marine Crewmembers, 12 Royal Marine Commandoes. All confirmed dead due to mechanical failure, weather, or possibly pilot error. It came down in Kuwait. No enemy fire was involved.

I posted that when I heard about the first reports of it and for your information the numbers did change as more details came through. Fox News, MSNBC and a number of news sources initially put up my stated numbers before then updating it.

Ollie was with Chalk 4 and Chalk 2 was the helo that went down. They ran into some really bad weather(sandstorm) and had visibility cut very rapidly. So they scrubbed the mission but by the time they were back in Kuwait, bam she went down.
