These were a few that I came across from an exercise last week.

whats the deal with those helmets? wouldnt that impede your hearing?

That seems to be the standard helmet for them.

They have holes on the sides just like a football helmet.

To those helmet you can attach heavy pancer "windshield" thats why they are so big and bulky

Awesome photos I love the spetsnaz photos but I never can seen to find pics like them. Guys keep posting any modern day spetsnaz pics there great

Spetsnaz of what: FSB, SVR, GRU, MVD, MCHS, army, navy, VDV, tax police, border troops? In Russian just about every agency has its own spetsnaz ( special purpose) unit.

VDV (airborne) and border troops are part of the army anyway, and tax police are part of the MVD (ministry of internal matters)

Is that a ballistic shield? i mean why is it so thick if its only a windshield? :|

Not sure, but wouldn't be surprised if it was. Why would somebody have a windshield on a mask anyway? Ballistic shield makes much more sense.
