Do the IDF have women in the infantry?Not really. It just started a year ago accepting a few women in rear infantry units. But it is not regular and it is defiantly not the front line infantry units (the hard core ones)

No, there aren´t any female tactical, weapons instructors. Buy hey, i would be happy to get one. There is a big jewish community in mexico, very special, very closed in, very rich, beautiful women, armed body guards (i was offered a job as that for a jewish merchant, but with the kidnappings in mexico city and the modus operandi of the mofos, which is kill the body guards firts at all costs and then get the target, i declined, also because the guy thought my life was cheap, and did not want to finance certain body armor and weapons we needed) and most are nice people, they have had some kidnapping incidents and terrorist hits at their sinagoges.

Heard about Magav ?yeah I said hard core infentry units (which they are not in)

and thier are in the light magav units, not in yamas and yamam for example.

Since I don't have any knowledge about the idf in general...

But I think I've figured that a Magav unit is a light or regular infantry unit :)

Its very hard to explain. Basically magav is border guard or police though they are now considerd light infantry (where their are in charge on maintaining public order and on riot control) that do more then just guard on the border for in fact now that is for the most part done by the idf

Now on the other hand we have these elite units that are part of magav that do much more.

Unit YAMAM is Israel's elite civilian hostage rescue and CT unit
While Unit YAMAS (the Hebrew acronyms for "Mistaravim Unit") is the Israeli Border Guard (MAGAV) undercover Counter Terror (CT) unit

[ego voice] if only the U.S. emplyed these guys in afganisthan before sept 11, osama would be dead by now [end of ego voice] :D

my sister serves in habron (not as an infantry..as "sambazit hier" in the hapak)
she told me some very nice stories about the Yamas (and on some other special units)

one time... they went into middle of habron.
3 guys entered to some terroists house (and it was heavily guarded) and pulled some importent terroist out in less than 5 mins

thos guys are just fearless
