machupichu---you are ****ing retarded, those europeans dress up like US soldiers to remember their liberation, what the **** is wrong with that. i was at bostogne on day 1 of the liberation, and the celebration was amazing, with all the vets there and such, i even saw a group of teenagers with a sign that said 'thanx for your heroism and bravery', and another that read 'thank you for bringing peace and democracy to our country'. why is this way so infantile and idiotic?? go to hell

if people are so degenerated that they need that little circus reenactment, they truly have reached american standards
seriously dealing with important history issues doesnt need that clownery. except you grew up with hollywood as your history teacher.

reenactment as party or festival is ok, but as an act-of-rememberance..... rofl

Ignore machupichu. The guy didn't take the time to enjoy the parade nor

Luxembourger took these great pics and he is the one that deserves the attention. Thank you again for sharing the pics :)

Machupichu, there is nothing wrong with reenactments like that. People ALL OVER THE WORLD reenact military battles/units all year long. If you think it's retarded, don't expect anyone to support you---most everyone finds it a great way to remember the heroes that have fought and died for us in the past.

thats hollywood style. just look at this forum to see what that ridiculous way of teaching history can do to a humans brain.

if you look at the pictures posted, you see victoriously parading allied soldiers and few german pows. that scene definitely does not represent battle of the bulge. chosing that date/battle to reenact the liberation of xy is a ridiculous transfiguration to say the least.

I didn't say that the schematics of the reenactments were all dead-on accurate---I'm no pro, I'd have no idea how to arrange a reenactment like that. I'm arguing against your opinion of all reenactments as being "clown-like".

i am pro reenactment when theres no doubt about the motives and the context. reenactment is theatre. its hollywood. but nothing to base a rememberance day on if it should keep its integrity.

Nice pics, thanks for having posted them.

Machupichu you're a retarded imbecile, but you maybe know that now, most of the people owning those old vehicles suffered the WWII or are the sons of those who suffered.

I've members of my family who do reenactment and i can tell you for sure that without these people the memory of our kids will forget the past soon or later ...

Of course, knowing your absence of intelligence i could expect your reaction, please do learn, read, listen, follow courses, whatever, ... do something to be less stupid, i'll be greatfull woot or stop writing here

another victim of education made in usa...

remember:
unqualified hollywood-movie reenactment = bad
intelligent rememberance with as many facets as possible = good

there were 600 vehicles , ( i didn t count them, it was said in the newspaper)

the people who were doing reenactment on that day were from all over europe and also many from the USA (that s why there were so many ww2 vehicles). Those who jumped at noon from the airplane (first pics) were some veterans and american reenactment people.)

Concerning the parade which started at 3 pm lasted 3 hours, I couldn t take a pic of every vehicle, I was standing at the end of the road outside downtown bastogne because there were so many people .
