Freedom Fighters PC game

I have always held the firm belief that video games were a waste of time and purely blood filled garbage ie. Mortal Comabt. Seeing games as disgusting, cruel, and grotesque. I must say, pc video games have changed alot since the last time I paid any significant attention. While I am an avid fan of flight simulators and hex based war games, I frequently steer clear of the person shooter craze, which i see as the pinnacle of unecessary violence and disrespecffull "entertainment" . I suppose I was wrong, these games can be done tastefully, and made to be quite enjoyable, while still keeping historical accuracy. The game I am referring to is freedom fighters, it creates an alternate history perspective where the Russians won the cold war, and has you, a freedom fighter defeating the Russian invaders through various guerilla operations. The game is not overly violent, does not focus on blood or gore, and is generally easy to play. This is the first shooting person game I have picked up in a long time, and highly reccomend you check it out!

the demo aint even half as good as the full game..it's really one of the best shooters of this year so far...

btw, FF aint the only shooter that's rather 'unfocused' on the blood and gore..actually, most shooters aint 'gore-focused' these days..ok, there's still doom and soldier of fortune, but apart from those, most of em actually try to be more than just violence

And if you are, virtually every single game released nowadays has the option to turn off blood/gore. But games like Doom III have a reason for violence: shock value. The whole point of Doom III is to scare the **** out of you (and it works, believe me, I've played the leaked Alpha) and shock you with violence and gore.

I myself have played the Freedom Fighters demo, and I like it alot, though I may wait for the price to come down some before I buy it (reviews said there's not alot of replay value/no multiplayer).

Have you ever tried Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon? Sounds like you might really like it. It focuses small-unit infantry tactics (you control a squad of six guys, switching direct control from guy to guy and giving commands to the rest) and is VERY realistic (for a computer game). I generally don't play first-person shooters, but I love Ghost Recon. I actually found out about this site from a Ghost Recon modding site (www.ThePlatoon.com).

hey, i see many, many, many Polish people playing on official servers. they all have their [PL] tags and they almost always have low honor, probably because they have the high pings... oh well.

I don't use ****ography anymore. I've stopped for about 4 years now (with little slips occasionally).

you better get your honor to at least 15 or you can't play as special forces in 2.0!
