Ok, here's the story. I'm not sure what I should do the next time this happens. I've got a few creative ideas, but I'll sample some other opinions:
Last Friday I was playing with the marching band for my school's homecoming football game. The National Anthem was playing, and one person a few rows in front of me was talking and moving around the whole time. I uttered a few, ""Shut up!"'s to him, and he didn't. Right after the song ended, he yelled, "This place sucks! I want to go to Canada!"
Of course, I started yelling back. I started moving down a few rows, but was stopped by three people pulling at my arms and repeating, "Not here, not now...Let it go."
The next game is next Friday, and I'm sure he'll try to do it again. Here are my initial options:
1. Move down a few rows, tackle him, assume dominant position, and repeatadly strike his face
2. Stay in my spot, and yell back from where I am
3. Do nothing.
That's what I've got in mind. Everyone I've talked to so far is leaning towards option #1, but before I do I want to here what y'all have to say.

some people due to religious convictions do not stand during the national anthem. Why dont you ask him nicely and explain why what he did annoyed you. Generally you will get a better response out of people when you handle it like that. As a matter of fact people are usually so surprised that smeone has asked them nicely that they have no choice but too comply. If he acts like a **** after you have asked him nicely I suggest doing what sinister told you to do.

Ok, ok, ok. Good so far. I guess I should've added that this guy is an outspoken Libertarian, and when teachers aren't around, he writes on the whiteboards, constantly taking shots at conservatives and the military. Messages like, "Screw the Military", and "Oil Drillers", or "Bush is a money and oil-driven puppet" are not uncommon, especially at the beginning of the war.
I will say that he did stand at the National Anthem, but paid no further respect.
Please, keep the suggestions coming...

Be the better man. Leave him alone. He will shame himself.

Next time he rights some BS like that on the board, grab a digicam and snap a pic. Theres gotta be some rule about that. Like how that guy who tried to teach the students that during WW2 that the concentration camps and all that genocide was fake.

people are pricks....sounds like real piece of work though. Personally I'd tell him to go grab a silver spoon and eat my ass....as for "Screw the military" and "oil drillers" ..one day he'll run into a veteran and they'll be more then happy to beat him in and out of conciousness for you.....its probably better to let bygones be bygones

First, you need to get bitten by a vampire, you in turn will become a Nosferatu and then you can bite him in the neck. That'll learn him.
