China prepared help in normalising Indo-Pak relations: FO:
[World News]: Islamabad, Jan 2 : China has said that Beijing was looking forward to normalizing Indo-Pak relations and was prepared to play a constructive role in the process.
The Daily Times reported Chinese Foreign Office spokesman Liu Jianchao as saying, that China would in an effort to take forward it's 2004 diplomacy, try to contribute towards regional peace and continue moving ahead with good-neighbourly and friendly cooperation, and in this regard was eagerly looking forward to play a constructive role in normalising Indo-Pak relations.
"We will constantly raise our capability of coping with the changing international situations and handling international affairs, so as to better serve the goal of building a well-off society and achieving national reunification," the paper quoted him as saying.
Meanwhile, members of a Chinese think-tank while taking part in a TV programme which also featured Pakistan's foreign office spokesman Masood Khan, said that the prospects of the Indo-Pak dialogue reaching a logical and fructuous conclusion were bright, since both the countries were moving in the right direction.
Massod added that both India and Pakistan were trying to promote peace and security in South Asia and were eagerly making efforts through confidence building measures and composite dialogue in this regard. (ANI)
