Yes MARPAT, the new USMC camo and the emblem on his helmet.

That Marine is just a regular infantry Marine. He's not part of any special unit. The camo job he did on his face is nothing special. He might have done it for the intimidation factor, but knowing Marines, because I am one, he was probably bored or just trying to be silly or break the monotony with his fellow Marines. Don't read into the picture and think it's something it's not.

I bet he's in one of the units that was in Fallujah during the November offensive. The only times I've seen anyone wear camo in Iraq is in Fallujah. Look at the pic of the famous smoking Marine - he's got runned away camo.
