Interesting home made AK-74m conversion. Note the 20 round mag(probably home made). The buttstock reminds me of east german one.
It seems to be 7,62. hmm... interesting. it's got aksu -74 type gass-release valve it seems. I doubt its precission, due to the lack of any compesator, esp. in 7,62, although it maybe using silencer(above?), but still...

When silencing a weapon for best effect you need to use subsonic ammo otherwise all the silencing done by the silencer is wasted by the crack of the bullet as it travels faster than sound. Because of this special ammo can be made that uses a heavier bullet to make it more effective on the target asif you can't make the bullet faster the can improve its performance only by making it heavier or frangible. The 7.62 x 39mm round uses a bullet weighing about 190 grain when loaded for subsonic speeds, whereas the 5.45mm round that is subsonic has an 80 or 90 grain bullet... both travelling at the same speed of about 300m/s the much heavier 7.62mm round will generally do more damage and retain speed over greater range than the smaller lighter 5.45mm round.

I am aware of this. But i wonder how will this affect the recoil? Are you trying to say that the recoil w/ silencer and sub ammo will be the same for 7.62 and 5.45?

Think about it, heavier bullet will require more energy to push it to that velocity. Ergo it will give more kick when fired. :)

When I was training karate we did this kind of pushups couldn't make more than 20/25.In that position you are highly unbalanced.

Well my point exactly.

I you look at my original post:

I was talking about precision which is directly related to recoil. And GazB
started talkig about velocity and penetration:

'When silencing a weapon for best effect you need to use subsonic ammo otherwise all the silencing done by the silencer is wasted by the crack of the bullet as it travels faster than sound. Because of this special ammo can be made that uses a heavier bullet to make it more effective on the target asif you can't make the bullet faster the can improve its performance only by making it heavier or frangible. To be frank i couldn,t work out what he was trying to say, so in a way
i was being sarcastic
