Every One Knows one day world war 3 is gonna happen. Well i'm gonna be prepared. The guns I would use would be ;
main gun- M4A1 carbine
Secondary Gun- Beretta 92 (Italy)

the brits arent mentioned a lot because the reporters dont know their ass from a hole in the ground.
i dont thik a war with england is likely. not to mention something that england or the us would want.
and we didnt just force britian to fight with us, there where a good 10 or more countries in afganistan with us so you dont need to feel like your special or anything. not to mention there is a lot to gain by being on the us's good side.
and being forced into a war is nothing new. hell we where forced to help get the germans out of most of europe but i dont bitch about it and hate all the european countries.

Biological warfare in combination with terror attacks on important infrastructure.
Example; spread diseases like smallpox/ebola/.... which are relatively easy to breed, certainly in comparison to chemical an nuclear weapons.
This combined with attacks on facilities like power plants and hospitals.
Both kind of attacks are really effective against modern democratic states, will make the people freak out and their armies aren't really developped for fighting this kind of ennemy.

Their latest offering is a multi barreled 40mm grenade launcher firing at a rate of 6000 rounds a minute. I think that would be my weapon of choice.

They are not very practical though are they. I mean the whole idea is basically like an old musket with multiple loads loaded. The rounds near the end of the barrel need a large charge to get their velocity near the rear rounds... ie the longer the barrel the higher the velocity of a round as it is accelerated longer, so the rounds near the muzzle don't travel as far down the barrel before they exit so they need more powder or they will have a completely different trajectory. Hense if you only have one barrel then you can probably only get about a dozen rounds or so in each weapon. Multiple barrels means heavy guns. To reload you have to change barrels. The only advantage is high rate of fire and if that were so important then everyone would be using Mac-10s and MG-42s as standard personal weapons.
Might have applications for use as CIWS for ships but not much use otherwise.

i knew it wasnt airsoft from the first pic.
1. you can see the tips of cartridges in the mags of the pistols,
2. the cetme sights and civi trigger group on the cetme clone dont exist in airsoft.
3. the berreta has different tones between the slide and frame which is uniform on most airsoft beretta's
4. there are no gas valves on the bottom of the pistol mags.
5.hollow pistol grip on the rifles clear shows that there is no motor and it is not an aeg.
add those up and i conclude that they are real. all before every one is still shouting they are airsoft.
now why does everyone jump to the conclusion that everything is airsoft without even the slitest hint that it is. because afterall alll the weapon look to be legal in the picture.

given the choice though from whats currentley on the market i'd go for either HK G36 or Hk MG43 as long arm

There's a World War going on right now. Politicians just came up with a new word to describe it--GLOBAL WAR. It's being fought by almost every single nation in some way. Warfare has changed since the 1930s and 40s.
And you say you're going to be prepared. If you were sent to a combat area you would be very likely to be the first guy to desert or commit a suicide.
Can you identify yourself either of the following descriptions?
1. 10 to 16 year-old school kid who wears military BDUs all the time and camo facepaint while playing airsoft war in the forest with your friends. You play counter strike on the net pretty much all the time when you're not searching the net for ****. You dream about earning a lot of medals in glorius battles and blackops all around the world after you've been throuh BUD/S, Ranger school, SAS etc...
2. An unemployed badly overweighted 30 to 50 years old on-line **** hardcore fan who wears military fatigues and has an eagle tattooed to his left shoulder. You howl the fullmoon with camo facepaint on your face. While in the woods you have this enormous hunting knife hangin from your belt. The knife looks like something out of the lord of the rings and is practical only if you are commiting a ritual sacriface or something like that. You like hunting because it makes you feel strong. Everytime you kill a rabbit or something you tell yourself-I know, I'm bad. Since you're badly overweighted it's extremely difficult for you to take a good aim and that's why haven't killed a rabbit for 20 years...

My weapon of choice: My bowels after Mexican food. Just gotta lure them into a confined space.
Honestly though: M14 with an 18.5in Barrel. No fancy sights, just standard iron sights and motivation. :)
.223 Remington is worthless. Necked up .222 Remingtons, that is all. Designed from the start to kill VARMINTS, IE little fuzzy bastards in grasslands.
But really, my ass can easily be turned into an NBC weapon of mASS destruction by going to one of the local mexican joints!

There are many concerns when choosing a weapon in such a time as WW3.
Where are you going to get the ammunition? I'd like to have a G11 but I know damn well I would be fortunate to have one magazine of ammo.
How would you get the weapon? If you arent in the military you will only get what you buy and that puts severe limitations on that Mk46 you were thinking about.
Is it a practical all around weapon? The AK is reliable, and great for close-medium range. The Barret M82 is great for long range but sucks at everything else (plus you have to lug it around). Alot of weapons have MAJOR strengths and weaknesses.
Assuming I was out of the army and was a civi...I would grab an HK91 (G3). Its fairly cheap, reliable, accurate, and you can find ammo EVERYWHERE for it. Spare parts could be found somewhat easily if needed.

I think life could cope with WW3 OR 4 and continue to evolve.

But that's living in a fantasy world, and in that case life could do anything it pleases because nothing is based on any sort of logic..
Seriously though, I think WW3 will be fought with supersoakers filled with radioactive piss!

right time for me to step in and end the stupidity. When he means 40W, he means a 40W OUTPUT, not electricity consumption (input) you retard. I have worked in a laser lab and and believe me, a 1 Watt output laser is enough to start melting skin and bones, multiply that by 40 and it will drill right through you and the next 5 people standing behind you.

What I would take? As a civilian I'll take my M14 with a Acog sight. Accurate, relaible and real stoppingpower (even on longer distances!), as a military, I'll swing my issued Diemaco over the dike, and grab a FN FAL out of the armory (and attatch a Acog scope on it). I'll need domething that will work relaibler than that P.O.S. alluminum and plastic.
As a sidearm I'll take a standard Glock 17 that's allready issued in the Dutch army, and more than good availble on the civilmarket.

well i reacon world war 3 will be when the oil runs out. 60-70 years. I also think that america would one day hate england and england would hate america. America always want england to fight with them even if england have nothing to do with them, for example the twin tower terrorist attack. America forced england to fight with them so that the terrorist would try bombing america and england to try and spread the blame so that america is not the only one targeted.
I think that one day america will have a war with england.

Growing food isn't hard at all.
If you can field strip a weapon, you SHOULD be able to learn how to grow food!
Up until this point, I was assuming that most here were a bit more self sufficient than the average person.
I guess that's what happens when you assume.
Why not get some books on homesteading so you CAN be more self sufficient?
There's more to the world than just firearms and gear!
All the firearms and gear in the world won't do a damn thing for you if you're starving and don't have the energy to haul them.
Here's a novel idea: Instead of spending all your cash on accessories for your airsoft weapon or real AR, and the latest high speed chest rig or assault pack, make some practical investments.
Such as non-hybrid seeds, nitrogen packed dry food, cases of MRE's for the interim, 55 gallon drums of clean water.
Some ammo for your shotgun and deer rifle, maybe a compound bow.
Get good with the bow so you don't waste precious ammo hunting.
Learn how to implement snares and traps, how to purify water, make some homemade jerky, learn how to can food.
Buy some gold and silver to use in trade when funny money is no longer valid currency.
So then when WW3 comes rollin in, you have some options, and a fighting chance.
The web has a seemingly unlimited wealth of information on the topic.
I go to a survival board, where there's good people who know how to do these things.
At that board, there's an entire library of info on these topics, compiled by the members themselves.
There's constant discussion on homesteading and self sufficiency, survival weapons, survival tools and kits, disaster preparedness.
I've been going there for 3 or 4 years now, and I've learned enough that I can say that I'll have some clue about what to do in the event of a disaster (whether natural or man made).
There are people there who survived all those hurricanes on the coast.
They have written some comprehensive texts about their lessons learned.
Utilize that info.
Give yourself some options *just in case* ;)
