Thor Dunmire, a marine specialist with the National Undersea Research Center, guides an 18th century cannon to the ocean's surface, October 22, 2003 off Key Largo in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Keys Sanctuary and Research Center officials recovered one of 13 cannons from an area called the "Cannon Patch." Experts will study it for clues to identify the ship it originated from, but believe it may have been jettisoned by a British vessel that grounded. Remaining cannons and artifacts are in 13 feet of water for snorkelers and divers to inspect. *******/Dave Score/Florida Keys News Bureau-Handout NO SALES

The tape maybe something to do with eye dominance,he may be a right hand shot, but he may have a dominant left eye,so covering this up teaches the shooter to use the weaker eye to greater effect.........then again he may have broken the glass!! :lol

Two children walk pigs to sell in the market as soldiers patrol in Cabrera, Monday, Oct. 20, 2003. Colombians on Sunday will elect mayors and other municipal leaders, but in this embattled town of 5,000 located, 50 miles southwest of Bogota, literally within the gunsights of rebels, there are no campaign speeches, no campaign posters, and no candidates. Cabrera's last mayor, Gilberto Amaya, was killed in February. Amid threats by rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, FARC, to kill othertown officials, no one has dared to declare themselves a candidate to replace him, or fill city council seats. The threat was part of the FARC's strategy of preventing the government from gaining control over rural areas by making them ungovernable at the local level. (AP Photo/Javier Galeano)

and why is his left eye taped over?

So he doesn't have to clinch his left eye closed... since your eyes have different strengths and the aiming sight being that close can create a double image because of that varying strength...
