DnA, whats the G&P ACOG sights like? I've heard mixed review on them. I'm thinking about buying one, but I don't want to buy one if there crap.

I think I lucked out, cause my ACOG is great. I have no shawdowing in the scope(aslong as you look right behind it, which I can do with my ESS goggles, dunno if you can do it with other ones), no issues with the clarity, etc of it. Build quality is great. Only thing that would make the scope better is if you could adjust the magification, right now its fixed at 4x.

Personally I think that the G&P TA11E replica is nicer than the NSN replica. With the TA11E (the one with the fibre-optic on top) you get that spiffy ACOG reflex aiming mechanism, letting you see the chevron with both eyes open and no zoom, and then with one eye closed 4x zoom, all without needing to refocus. The NSN replica has a crosshair, and whilst it's a very good scope in its own right, I much prefer the reflex mechanism ;-)

I meant to say TA11F in my above post as well, as opposed to TA11E... (5.56 as opposed to 7.62), though I guess it really doesn't matter with airsoft guns (0.05 cal?)

- I didn't paint grip because it is always in your hand anyway....At least that what it should be if you are a 'good' airsofter ;)

Pic of my gun with my first ever paint job. I did the paint in about ten or twenty minutes in between skirmishes on our first day out this year. Krylon spraycans. The aimpoint replica (Guarder) is still black as it is going to be going on another gun at some point, and a 3-9 power scope will take its place (and be painted to match). The furniture is missing from the carry handle as it was freshly painted, and I hadnt put it back together yet.

No, unless you buy the old Asahi FN FNC or make one yourself. FNC is a nice gun but AK 5 is nicer imo. :p

Appreciate the feedback boys and Hawkeye most M14's out there would probably go for the black look or the wood look or even the camo look, in anticipating this I decided to go with that color scheme which I copied from a real steel M14

So i figured i need stock for my TMP, but the "proper" ones are $100 easy, and hard to find. Problem solved. Stock is fairly solid, built INTO not onto the receiver. BTW the duct tape is to hold the gun together not the stock, this gun has seen better days.

Really nice keyserSOZE, btw don't worry a bit about the eotech glass, it will hold, have several friends who had hits on it, not a single mark, nothing, with m120-m130 on 10m, maybe watch out for snipers with 0.43 though ;)

i use the G&P G36 kit's outer barrel, i am not sure if it is the correct length as the real steel one, since i have asked my gunsmith to custom another barrel which allows using the real flash hidder later ( still finding the real flash hidder )!!

the carring handle is from real steel ( found it for almost half year )

My work in progress scratch build M4. I am waiting for a G&P M4 RAS unit to clear NZ customs. AEGs and parts to them are technically illegal here. I no longer have the regular barrel assembly because I sold it as part of the TM M4 I took it off of. I didn't think it would be as big and issue to get the RAS unit. Oh well, live and learn..... I used to do repair and upgrade work In Dallas as a little side gig to fund my "addiction" so all of my rifles are upgraded to their fullest capability within the fps rules of the fields I play.

This is my early gun collection. The M4 I am building is technically the third one I have owned. The M4 pictured in this group is a TM and was early in my AEG tinkering days. It was fully upgraded internally and shot about 415 fps. I gained alot of knowdledge with that gun and then sold it to a buddy to fund some other airsoft projects. The current M4 I am building is the one I will likely keep. Since it will be the coming together of everything I have learned from airsoft and making a replica of the style of weapons our brave men and women of the US armed forces use.

I am really debating the M203 for this thing. I recently shot a Mad Bull grenade from one and I was more pleased than I was seeing some other brands of bb shower grenades go off.

I usually don't like painted guns but the one abovs looks real nice. I like the "rugged" used look too. All the more realistic

now that is probably the best M4 ive seen on here, not 2 'decked out', good paint job, barrel looks a cool length.. love it.


The ONLY thing I would consider changing on that M4 is the stock. Either the LE 6 position or a Crane would be nice :D That is one of the best M4s I've seen on here.

still, the gun is full of dirt everywhere after a little wading in a creek. Its fun....im gonna change the rug now.....

little trick I picked up from a team mate, the aimpoint is so low because I close the front flap, the red dot is projected on the black and I keep both eyes open, you get a bead on what you want to hit a lot easier than keeping both flaps open, so ha :D

Tat's a very nice rifle mate.Congrats for the completion of ur rifle but the grip and stock are too "new and perfect" make some scratches on both of them or ruined the rifle will make it look good.Kind of Aks style. :roll:
