That's right Jester23, they are. I'm taking them all from my DVD too.
Seoulstriker are you asking me very nicely for a picture of Mr. Legg or are you demanding it from me? Somehow I have a feeling it's the latter one...

I appreciate your posting these pics, but please post more. I really enjoyed these pictures, but how about some from 1st and 2nd phases (especially of them doing PT). Don't worry about uploading too many!

Why don't you send all your pictures to Hood and let him make a special gallery!
:) it's better the way he has it now. I can't be hosting those since technically they're from a commercial dvd. it definitely makes me want to go and get the set though. I've always held off because they've only been on vhs tape. I'm all over dvd.

Hey Hood would there be anything illegal about you posting those commercial dvd pictures in a seperate gallery like charliebravo said? It's kind of a pain in the butt for me to do this because I don't have any webspace so I use the free websites but then again I have to make another and another account every 5 minutes :[ lol Am I breaking the law? I hope not. And yea, you guys should get the set because it's definitely worth it, I watched it 10 times and still can't get enough of it.
PS
Christmas coming why doesn't Hood buy you all that DVD LOL JK :]

Recruit Legg graduated BUD/S correct? He is now assigned to SEAL Team 6?
That picture is of Ghettys, and no it is highly unlikely that he is assigned to Six. That would be like going to Delta after graduating the Q course...

It's not *****s, it's Legg. Take my word for it, I have the entire DVD Navy SEALs collection, I know his face too well to be wrong on this.
Well regardless of his identity, I still stand with the main point of my statement. :P
So... what team is he assigned too?
Who else graduated?
Did Rivera make it?
Not sure what team his with, but Rivera was the honor grad I believe. Correct me if I am wrong papa since you know everything! :P
Rivera did make it past BUD/S and was the Honorary Frogman for the class.
Sweet pics and I can't wait till I get that DVD set for Christmas! :D

It's a great set to own, i bought the vhs and i'm devastated that they came out with dvd's since i don't wanna pay for another set but i've seen tha thing way over 10 times. If you read "The Warrior Elite" and watch the series you will see lots of over lap as far as instructors and stuff. I know the CO of the NSW Capt. (Ret.) Bowen actually appears in the series and is much talked about in the book. Between the two sources you couldn't ask to know much more about BUD/s without actually going. Enjoy.
instead of a BUD/S Documentry...do they have a Marine Corps Boot Camp Documentry?

2 things:
1) Probably old news, **** Couch has a follow up book to Warrior Elite called Finishing School which deals with new SEALs training for the Iraq war. I wonder if Legg and co. show
up in that book.
2) In the documentary, the BUD/S students learn underwater demolition at San Clemente Island(?) One or two of them screw up when they don't test the burn rate for their fuses, thus their C4 detonates prematurely. I know they get verbally flailed, but do they get dropped from the program?

1) no, they dont. they went on in a different SQT class
2) again, no they dont. it was a mistake that should never have been made, but it was only a mistake, and even BUD/S trainees are human. especially BUD/S trainees, actually.
and now my own note...
The video makes a huge deal out of Hell Week, and completely marginilizes Pool Week, and in my opinion, that's just wrong. Pool Week isnt as physically demanding in the same way, but it is just as mentally demanding, if not more so. The mental strength it takes to pass the pool comp test, for example, is ludicrous. your body is panicking whether you want it to or not, because you cant breathe, you cant see, if you move, youre restricted by a massive amount of gear on you, and on top of all that, you have to think through a long procedure with all that AND (what they very specifically do not show in the video) the pain from where the instructor just punched you several times in the midst of a 'surf hit'. Its insanely difficult, and i think its ridiculous that they marginilize it.
anyway, thats my small rant.

If your Dad ,brother and Uncle are all in the Navy, then you'd know to spell it as SEAL's all in Capitals, seals are the furry little brutes who get clubbed in Greenland!!
