do most aircraft have anti-missile capabilities now? i know that the c-130 is a supply aircraft and things can get hot at forward locations...

Thats not a normal C-130. Thats most likely a Combat Talon II

Those are both MC-130s. You can tell by the extra fuel tanks in between the engines.

The C-130 is not defensless by any means.

Newer versons of the C-130s are getting a laser based missile defense system.

The C-130 is nicknamed the "Karnaf" in Israel, "Karnaf" means rhinoceros in Hebrew.

In 1976 C-130's were used to send Israeli SF to Uganda in order to save Israeli and Jewish hostages who were held by Arab terrorists. This operation is known as operation Jonathan.

The 82nd uses all three depending on their needs. The first rade in OEF was from C-130s.
