There wre reports that the 4 chinese individuals and a few Iraqis snuck across the border with the intent to set off a dirty bomb in boston.


The report came from an anonymous tip phone to the California Highway Patrol.


So far, the threat is being taken seriously, but the intelligence doesnt seem to be that credible.

Are you my neighbor? I live 30 miles outside of Boston too (that's 30 miles west; 30 miles east is in the "drink").

I took a class in Chinese and learned some interesting dirty laundry (and thank you to the Chinese who took me into their confidence):

1- Western China is an absolute hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism
2- A lot of "ghosts" (white-folk) do look "alike" to Chinese (and especially to Japanese) because... get this... we look so "different from each other" (after some weeks, it almost makes sense... kind of an information overload)

Even if this manhunt is because of a revenge tip rather than something real, I suspect that we are going to have to face something like this soon (and why Boston?). Before we get all worked up and determined to kill the Islamists before they kill us, consider that the next incident may be perpetrated by, say, and outraged Scythian Shaker rather than some pissed-off mullah.
