3rd Amphibious Battalion, Swedish Navy. Boatchief on a Combat boat 90H ( Stridsbåt 90H ) 305th Coastal Ranger Company ( 305:e Kustjägarkompaniet ) for 14 months.
Currently I serve as a machinegunner in the Homeguard. Besides that Im stuying to become a highschool/upper secondary grade teacher.

9 months, nowadays ;)
Used to be 18 months during cold war times, then 12 and now only 9 are left. Many consider that to be not enough to do anything useful, so conscripts usually get the ****ty jobs, often in the office or maintenance.
Btw, I did 23 months (that's the maximum voluntary service without actually enlistining) in a HAWK air defence squadron as a "Platoon Command Post Operator", operating the computer and the IFF inside the command post.

There is no such thing as 6 divisjon anymore, it's called "Hærens styrker" now.
BTW, I was in Istar BN also, but was called Intel BN at that time.

- Half way to my 20 years long service, It's gone so fast, can't ever imagined having this much of a ball at any other job.
