The man refers to them as either "Rangers Special Forces" or "Army Rangers". I have never read, seen, or heard about the Rangers or Special Forces wearing headgear like that. I suppose it is actually possible these guys could be who we all would like to think they are given the nature of the other pictures he has in his gallery.

Take a look at the hair length, Rangers and SF while back on base would at least have a military cut wouldnt they? Also note that those pictures were taken in 1994.

94? if delta used those helmets 93 why would they not use it in 94? plus no infantry/ranger unit would use such helmets; definitely some anti-terrorist non-infantry special forces type unit; we just dont know who or which unit; but we do know they're definitely not infantry

As I recall, I never said that they wouldnt have used anything, I just noted that the age of the photos are nearly a decade old.

Actually could well be a Group 'doorkicker' company. I think the Ranger Building Clearance Teams were DITW by then.

Has anyone else noticed that this guy fairly got around that week?
Looks very like he was at some Military "open Day" as there are a lot of photo's dated 8.11.94!!

In 94 it was very common to hose clamp your maglite onto your weapon.

FBI hostage rescue training near Bragg at a place called Sand Hills. They're all about to get very wet, reason for helmets. That's where these helmets were first introduced and how they caught on. Heli-casting! They float and still protect your head pretty good.

Don't ask me how I know, just trust me on this one!!

I recognize at least one of these guys and maybe two more but not sure of them. However I can tell you that they are not who you think they are or who you might guess they are. They are U.S. Army SF and the one I recognize was a member of the 7th Group. He is now retired and I know this cause the last time I saw him He was slapping me at Camp Mckall, NC.
