Heads up, turn to CNN right now, they're doing an hour-long show on US soldiers and how they face killing.

It's the first time I've seen them show us killing Iraqi's up close and personal, not while they were in vehicles.

They know that we do not want to kill women and children, or innocent civilians, thats why the Iraqi soldiers were removing their uniforms, and some would act like they were about to surrender then open fire, we did lose some soldiers that way

Don't forget the pregnant women who blew up herself and 3 US soldiers when she signaled them over to help her out.

I saw an interview with an Army staff sargeant right after the war, he said the hardest thing he had to do was during the taking of Baghdad. A boy (7, 8, 9, something like that) was running out into the streat to pick up a RPG launcher that was over a dead Iraqi soldier. The sarge gave the boy verbal warning. He shot into the air. He even shot at the dead Iraqi before the boy went for it. But he did anyways- the soldier had to shoot him. Hardest thing he ever had to do he said.

Yeah, the 5th Special Forces team that was deep in enemy territory during the first Gulf War, they were dug in by the highway and a young child walked by and saw them. They didn't shoot the kid but a ton of enemy forces arrived shortly after. Luckily, they held off and a daring rescue mission pulled them out.

i thought the GWI guy had the most interesting interview, with the "night of the trucks" and all. i feel really bad for those guys who gave up those yrs of their lives and sometimes still have to give up alot because the memory follows them forever...

I heard about that story TF. If they had shot the little sheppard boy, they wouldn't have been compromised.

Also, I heard the nighstalker pilot who was flying like a bat outa hell to get to them almost got downed by a camel when he came over the ridge of a sand-dune, he was flying THAT low.

The skill some of these guys have is incredible, it's terrible that they sometimes have to decided whether to use that skill to kill women and children.

Yep was this the same incident when the Patrol Commander signalled an F16 with a mirror and told them to drop their munitions" danger close",because the Iraqis were getting very close to their position?

Re the CNN story
They actually showed the footage of Iraqis being killed?
I'm surprised at that ,following the massive outcry about images of dead US/Brit personnel being shown on Al Jazeera?

I wonder if it'll be repeated for the overseas CNN programme?

Is it just me or is the same scenario described in Bravo Two Zero?
