During WW1 or 2...cant remember, but they tried to implement curved guns to shoot above the trenches.

does the barrel actually curve or is the barrel just rotated?

Just looks like there's a Glock in some sort of device that picots the gun around corners.
As for those curved barrels in WWI and WWII, they actually did work....for about 50 rounds or so.

i saw a discovery show (i think discovery ) about the germans in stalingrad (?) had invented a rifle with a curved barrel to shoot around corners during the street fighting

Yea only worked for a few shots before the barrel got too hot and bullets started flying out straight at the bend of the barrel.
