well the guy who was 'bothered' by the crucifix was an exception; the major muslim organisations all had no problem with the crucifix...

The point is that the Italian courts ruled it as a violation of the separation of church and state.

In the US, the 'Pledge of Allegiance' is in jepardy of having a reference to God removed, for similar purposes.

Just look at the $1 Dollar Bill.
Will US currency with all reference to 'In God We Trust' be next?

Typical we have the same sort of madmen in the UK trying to start something. Its muslim fundamentalists trying to start something regardless that 99.9% of muslims want nothing to do with these madmen

This is an odd one, I know quite a few muslim Pakistani's who went to catholic schools, could never really figure why until one guy I knew told me his father thought that catholic schools had better discipline than your usual state school.

How about for the sake of tolerance and education, Muslims accept the customs of their host country.
If they don't like it... move back to the dung heap that is their home country!!

What else? we rule Christians or any other religion be removed from the world to suit the sensibilities of Muslims?

actually the sentence is under examination, i think there's a law since the last century (with the king) that says that crucifix must be exposed in schools, public offices...

president Ciampi says (and this is true and confirmed also by people who never goes to church or doesn't believe in religions) that crucifix is a simbol at the base of italian culture!

this "leader" is crazy, other times has made declarations or pretended things just to create confusion and hate between people who live in italy (he was also beated twice live on tv). the islamic community agrees with italy, they will never pretend a thing like this 'cause is not in their religion (they say).

anyway this stupid judge said that he gave this sentence because italy is liberal state, and the request was admissible....technically he can be right, but he forgot all the italian history and traditions!

The concept of immigration...you mean, going over and being like the new countrys people? Fine.
But I recall that in the 16 th century, people went to a continent called "america" and started killed the people who lived there. And did so untill the 20 th... :D So you mean the rules apply for noncaucasians only?
