I know they are Kurds from Hallabja,I remeber the incident well.
The point is that because of the graphic nature there should've been a disclaimer posted above it,I thought this was in the forum rules?
Just because they were killed by saddam doesn't mean to say that the forum rules do not apply, otherwise there will be a free for all.

Oi, post a "Warning" before you stick those pictures of dead human beings.

Argyll
10-31-2003, 06:31 AM
I made that observation already PT, are we seeing some double standards creeping in because they're victims of Saddam?

Like I said this is NOT "deadbodies.com" whether they're victims of war or not,I don't think there's a need to show them at all (dead bodies) seems like the younger generation get their rocks off on seeing them, pitty none of them have had to scrape the remains up with shovels ,with the smell that clings to you for days!

Argyll

Well I'm ex military KP,and take it from me,seeing pictures is NOTHING like the real thing,a picture paints a thousand words, but seeing the real effects of a bomb leave you speechless!!

Kingpin
10-31-2003, 07:07 AM
I've seen how it looks in real. That's why i don't post warnings in such posts - picture is just a picture.

Heh, who said everyone visiting this forum is joining the armed forces?

Somones 10 year old could be on here, or a 13 year old boy could see this ****.

It's wrong.

Argyll
10-31-2003, 07:17 AM
Ah I see,I was under the impression that a warning stating"Warning graphic images" was to preceed these types of pics,as this was brought up before when showing the vitims of terrorist attacks in Israel,it's not like the pictures offend me in any way,it's just thay where do you draw the line, remembering that there are kids who visit this site.
Whilst images of dead bad guys always goes down well,to show impartiality then dead good guys should also be shown, just to shake the gloating members ,and show them that war comes at a price, and that good men died too,but this would be seen as extremely poor taste, but it would show the site is a non bias one,and not just a place where the glory kids come to jack off over dead bodies,by showing them around their schools and ****,like we used to do with **** mags!!

ShotOver
10-31-2003, 07:21 AM
How about having a "Into" to this site, which gives an overall warning, and two options:

ENTER

LEAVE

Like they have on ****ography websites, that would stop arguments about violent pictures.

Argyll
10-31-2003, 07:36 AM
Well I personaly don't see the need to post any dead bodies here in this site as it's supposed to be called Militaryphotos.net,not casualtiesof war.net.

If the admin team think it's fine, then ok,BUT they must allow the pics of Allied deaths too, that way there is no impartiality.
My point is that there was a huge stink about the Al Jazeera thing showing the casualties of the 507th,someone posted the links here a while back, the outcry and disgust was trully amazing, and I agreed too
But it seems perfectly ok to show dead Iraqi's,Taliban,Al Q,Palestinians etc,as this is more morally acceptable..............absoloute ****e! Terrorists or enemy it does not matter,it makes this site no better than the accustations of how one sided the media reporting these days has become, with nothing but negative stuff coming out.

The bottom line is that posting pics of Casualties is not neccesary,as this is not supposed to be a politically orientated site, where it seems everyone who disagrees with certain members ,you're a lefetist liberal scum.
Funny thing is I done one of these stupid quiz things and I'm a Centrist, which means I look at things with an "open mind",but the younger members would call that Liberal!!

haha, yeah.

We can't stop everyone from posting the pictures. Because it won't work out.

They need more Moderators (Not complaining, you guys rule) to check out for things like this, and to edit peoples posts e.g, Add mature content disclamers.

Because i really don't want to see pictures of mutilated dead children, and gassed women.

Actually the photo I posted came from a Time Magazine. The last time I checked...a 5-year old could purchase one of these if they wanted to.

Hell, I bet you may find a few of these photos in history books sometime in the future, if not already.

Argyll
10-31-2003, 01:38 PM

These are available on the net too?

TF you know fine that's not what I meant ;)

I dare you to post the dead GI's and the Dead Brits from this current Op!
Or even Somalia?

Pics from 140 years ago and 70 years ago, oddly enough seem to be accepted, perhaps because they from a timeline past(history),still graphic none the less, but images from recent years seem to be taboo, and certainly from this conflict, these too will one day find themselves archived for the next generation.

Again I'll repeat myself, there are many,if not most forum members come here to view militaryphoto's,if they wanted to see dead bodies, and abortion, partial or not, then they should go to rotten.com.
I just feel it's not neccesary to show these images........links are fine, but a warning of the nature would not go a miss!!
